Taste is part of Pace Hospitality Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16530977), with its registered office at Unit 7 Wheatcroft Business Park, Landmere Lane, Edwalton, Nottingham, England, NG12 4DG. What we collect and why
Enquiries. When you send a brief through this site or email us, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, email, phone number, number of sites where relevant and the content of your brief. We use this to reply to you, to prepare a proposal and, if we work together, to run the campaign. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and, where a contract follows, performance of that contract.
Cultural moments email. If you give us your email for the monthly update, we use it to send that update and nothing else. Lawful basis: consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Campaign contacts. If you are a contact at a brand, operator or partner we work with, we hold your business contact details and campaign correspondence for the purpose of delivering and reporting on the campaign. Lawful basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in running our business.
Site analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location at city level, device and browser type. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use analytics for advertising and we do not run advertising cookies. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the cookie banner or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Campaign feedback. Guests who take part in a sampling campaign may be asked for feedback. Feedback is collected by the brand, the operator or Taste under a separate notice shown at the point of collection. It is reported to the brand and operator in aggregate.
Who we share it with
We share enquiry and campaign data only where it is needed to do the work: with the brand or operator you are being matched with and with the service providers that run our site, forms and email (our hosting and form provider plus Google for email and analytics). We do not sell personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or on an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted unless a contract has followed. Campaign records are kept for six years after the campaign closes, in line with our accounting and legal obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Email update subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@tastebypace.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets one strictly necessary item in your browser's local storage, taste-consent, to remember your cookie choice. It contains no personal data and expires when you clear your browser storage.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies beginning _ga to distinguish visits. These last up to 14 months. You can withdraw consent by clearing cookies and choosing "No thanks" the next time the banner appears. We do not set advertising or social media cookies.
Fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which may log your IP address as part of serving them. No cookies are set by this request.
